Meet Mark
A Humble Veteran

Twenty years ago, Mark Sharpe embarked on a career in the United States Navy. Mark rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander and recently retired as a Navy Reserve Officer. During his naval career, Mark Sharpe was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base at central command. He was assigned to the 176th attack squadron.
Mark's service keeps him humble and grounded. That's why he's been our clear and consistent voice on the Hillsborough County Commission since 2004.
A Teacher & Educator

For almost a decade, Mark Sharpe taught our children in Hillsborough County schools. As a classroom teacher at Morgan Woods Elementary School and Seminole Presbyterian School, Mark has a unique perspective on our local education system and has vowed as a County Commissioner to help our schools better serve our kids. Mark also worked as an administrator and development officer. He has earned his master's degree and is a tireless advocate for better public schools.

In 2004, Mark Sharpe was elected to the Hillsborough County Commission. Mark's priority has always been keeping taxes low while maintaining our quality of life.
He has continuously fought for common-sense solutions to transportation and traffic problems, for the the elimination of wasteful government spending, and healthcare.

You can count on Mark Sharpe to build consensus, offer solutions, and put an end to endless bickering in Congress.
Mark will fight to get government out of the way of the economy, balance the federal budget, simplify the tax code, and uphold the sacred vow to keep Social Security and Medicare solvent for our senior citizens.
